Redundant Converter System with 200W Plug-in Modules for Heavy-duty Environments.
Suitable for operation in Industrial Plants, Air-traffic Control Systems, Power Utilities, Telecom & other Critical Applications. Absopulse Electronics’ BAP 236 is a redundant converter system comprised of up to six, 200W DC/DC plug-in modules in a pre-wired 3Ux19"x13" shelf.Cooled by natural air convection, the BAP 236 system has no fans or other moving parts. This, large design headroom and low component count ensure the level of reliability essential for maintenance-free operation in remote locations. Each BAP 236 plug-in module (BAP 236-EH) delivers 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 48Vdc or 125Vdc and accepts an input of 24Vdc, 48Vdc or 125Vdc. Every module is hot-insertable and has a built-in redundancy diode which allows for parallel and N+1 redundant operation. Built-in redundancy also allows for a battery to be connected to the output for back-up purposes. Modules with different outputs can be combined in one shelf to create a multiple-output system. The 3U x 14HP x 220 mm plug-in modules feature full electronic protection on the input and output and output fail alarms summarized into a single Form C alarm on the shelf motherboard. An output voltage ‘ON’ LED indicator, voltage adjustment potentiometer and test points are located on the front panel of every module. For detailed specifications, please see datasheet above (right).
