Industrial Quality, 3-Phase to 3-Phase AC/AC Frequency Converter delivers Pure Sinewave
Output Voltage. Absopulse Electronics’ FTT 3K Series is a rugged, modular AC/AC frequency converter system that uses microprocessor controlled, high frequency PWM technology to deliver 3-Phase, 3000VA continuous sine-wave output power, from a 3-phase input. Standard versions of this system provide three-phase outputs of 208V, 380V or 400V (L-L) at 50Hz, 60Hz or 400Hz. The output neutrals are internally connected to the chassis in “Y” configuration, which allows for phase-to-neutral voltages of 115V, 220V or 230V. The FTT 3K operates from a 3-phase line voltage of 208Vrms, 380Vrms or 400Vrms (L-L). Other voltages, frequencies and options can be provided on request. The FTT 3K is comprised of a number of internal modules. The input modules perform the three-phase AC to DC voltage conversion and the output module performs the DC voltage to three-phase AC voltage conversion. The mechanical size of the system depends on the input/output combination – it varies from a 3U x 19” rack to a 6U x 19”. Chassis-mount versions of this system are also available. Cooling is by built-in fans. Full electronic protection eliminates the possibility of failure due to abnormal operating conditions, including application errors. The high frequency conversion enables a compact construction, low weight and high efficiency. These factors, as well as the exclusive use of components with established reliability, make the system suitable for critical applications. The system is filtered to meet EN 55022 Class A, with Class B filtering available as an option. Other options include remote shutdown or enable, output fail alarm (Form C) as well as ruggedizing and conformal coating for additional immunity to shock, vibration and humidity. Absopulse’s three-phase to three-phase frequency converter series (the FTT) is available with output power levels of up to 12kVA; custom versions provide far higher output power.
