Absopulse designs and manufactures a range of power supplies for railway, industrial and other extreme environment applications.
To ensure reliable operation under extreme field conditions, most of Absopulse’s very rugged lines of power supplies are encapsulated with a thermally conductive MIL-spec. silicon rubber compound to ensure resistance against high levels of shock, vibration, humidity, moisture and airborne contaminants.
Encapsulated units can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and are conduction cooled via a base plate to the customer’s chassis or heat-sink.
Other designs for very harsh environments are housed in vented, chassis-mount packages, are highly ruggedizing and conformal coated.
Absopulse's railway power supplies are designed to meet rail-specific standards including EN50155, EN50121-3-2, EN 61000, IEC 61373 shock and vibration, and RIA 15 standards.
Our other rugged power supplies are typically designed to meet UL508, EN60950 and equivalent standards for heavy industry, DO160 for airborne applications as well as MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810 military standards.
As most designs meet EN55022 Class B requirements, they can be safely used in EMI sensitive environments.
