HBL 1000 Series data-sheet

Low-profile, rugged ac/dc converter delivers up to 1500W

Absopulse Electronics’ HBL1000 is a rugged, versatile, AC/DC power supply developed for operation in industrial, transportation and other heavy-duty environments where a low-profile design and regulated power are required.

The HBL1000 provides standard outputs of 24Vdc/41A, 28Vdc/35A, 48Vdc/20A, 54Vdc/18A or 125Vdc/8A with a jumper selectable 115/230Vac (± 15%) input at 47Hz to 63Hz. The unit can be modified to accept a 250Vdc (180 – 370Vdc range) input. Depending on input/output requirements, the HBL1000 can be configured to deliver up to 1500W. Power factor correction up to 1500W is also available. An optional redundancy diode allows for parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy, a feature that also makes the unit suitable for battery charging applications.

Fan cooled and rated for operation at full power from 0ºC to 50ºC without de-rating, the HBL1000 can also be adapted for –40ºC to +65ºC environments. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, airborne contaminants and insects. This power supply is housed in a 2U x 11” x 11.5” chassis and weighs 5kg.

In addition to full electronic protection and input/output filtering, the HBL1000 is designed to meet international safety standards including EN55022, EN60950 and related UL and CSA requirements.

DCW Series data-sheet

Wide input range DC-DC Converters operate in rugged environments

Absopulse Electronics has recently expanded its DCW Series of DC-DC converters, adding two wide-input voltage ranges and increasing output power up to 200W. These converters are available with either a 20 to 60Vdc input range, or with a 65V to 160Vdc input range. They deliver 100W, 150W or 200W, with standard output voltages of 12V, 24V, 48V or 125Vdc. Other output voltages are also possible.

Designed for operation in rugged industrial environments, additional conformal coating or full encapsulation options ensure immunity to the high levels of shock, vibration, humidity, moisture and airborne contaminants typically encountered in railway and other extreme environments.

These convection/conduction cooled converters are housed in chassis-mount, vented enclosures and are rated for operation from 0ºC to +50ºC without de-rating. Extended temperature ranges of -30ºC to +80ºC (cold plate) are available. The 150W and 200W models are also offered in plug-in format which may be mounted on a 3U x 19” front-panel for rack-mount applications.

The DCW Series converters feature full electronic protection and most models have input/output filtering to meet EN55022 Class B EMI. The units are designed to meet international safety approvals including IEC950 and CSA22.2.950.

Absopulse also offers a range of dual output DCW converters.
