HVI 5000 data-sheet |
High voltage converter delivers 5000W for industrial and other heavy-duty applications.
Designed for high output power and high voltage applications, Absopulse Electronics’ HVI 5000 converter employs field-proven topology to provide 125Vdc continuous voltage at 40A. This 5000W converter accepts inputs of either 277Vac or 350Vdc (±10%). It is fan cooled and rated for operation in temperatures of 0 to 50 oC, with an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +65oC available as an option.
The HVI 5000 features full electronic protection and has input/output filtering to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum. The unit is designed to meet international safety approvals including IEC60950-1, CSA C22.2 No.60950-1-03 and UL60950-1. A Form C contact module fail alarm is included.
Originally designed for a power generation and distribution application, the HVI 5000 is also suitable for industrial and other heavy duty applications. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. A 3-phase input version is also available.
This converter is ruggedly constructed and housed in a corrosion resistant aluminum chassis. It measures 4U x 19” x 15” and weighs 18kg.

RSI 500 data-sheet |
500VA, Low-profile, conduction-cooled inverter drives ac equipment in rugged environments.
Absopulse Electronics Ltd.’s RSI 500 series low-profile inverter delivers 500VA continuous sinusoidal voltage. Originally designed for an on-board railway application, the RSI 500 is also suitable for driving ac equipment in industrial, utility, mining, marine and other harsh environments.
The RSI 500 is ruggedized and conformal coated to ensure resistance to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. It is conduction/convection cooled and rated for operation over a 0°C to 50°C temperature range, with -40°C available as an option. The chassis measures 2.58” x 10” x 13.8” and weighs 9 pounds (4.2kg).
This microprocessor controlled, pulse-width-modulation design provides 115Vac or 230Vac continuous at 50, 60 or 400Hz, from a nominal 110Vdc input (77154Vdc range). Line regulation is within 0.5 percent, and load regulation is within ±5 percent from no load to full load. Tighter regulation is also possible. Total harmonic distortion at its output is less than 5 percent at full load and efficiency is at least 78% at full load.
The RSI 500 is filtered to meet EN55022 Curve B and is designed to meet the stringent requirements of EN50155 and EN50121-3-2 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock. Protection features at the input include inrush current limiting and reverse polarity protection. Output protection includes current limiting, short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown with automatic recovery in case of continuous overload or insufficient airflow.
This inverter can be customized for other input/output and mechanical requirements. Further options include an output fail alarm (Form C), adjustment for output voltage and frequency, and remote shut-down.

RWY 200 data-sheet
|
200W, Rugged, High Performance DC/DC converter withstands harsh operational environments.
(Railway, industrial, airborne, military, marine)
The RWY200 is a recent addition to Absopulse Electronics’ RWY series of field-proven, rugged, high-density, DC/DC converters. Designed for railway, airborne, military, marine, off-shore and land-based industrial applications, the RWY200 provides a complete 200W power solution in a compact 2.7” x 8.25” x 2.3” enclosure and only weighs 1.3kg. This push-pull converter employs advanced FET technology to deliver 3.3Vdc/30A, 5Vdc/30A, 12Vdc/16A, 13.8Vdc/15A and 24Vdc/8A. The output is limited to a maximum of 30A. The single input unit accepts inputs of 48Vdc (28-67Vdc), 72Vdc (43101Vdc) or 110Vdc (65V-160Vdc).
The RWY200 is fully encapsulated within a thermally conductive MIL-spec. silicon rubber compound to ensure immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. It is conduction cooled via a base plate and performs to full specification at temperatures of between -40°C and +70°C. EMI performance exceeds the requirements of EN55022 Class B and EN50121-3-2, conducted and radiated. The unit also conforms to the requirements of EN50155 (IEC571) for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock.
