Rugged dc/dc converter operates in tough environments
Absopulse Electronics’ BAP319F series is a fan-cooled addition to the BAP319 convection cooled line of DC/DC converters. This 700W unit employs the same field-proven push-pull topology as the earlier convection cooled version, but provides 40% more output power at very little additional cost.
The BAP319F delivers any DC-output from 12V to 125Vdc (12V, 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V and 125Vdc are standard). It accepts any DC-input from 24V to 125Vdc (24V, 48V and 125Vdc are standard). An optional redundancy diode allows for parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy. This feature also makes the unit suitable for battery charging applications.
This fan cooled converter is rated for operation over a 0ºC to 50ºC temperature range at full power without de-rating, with extended temperature ranges available as an option. The unit is enclosed in a ruggedly constructed, low-profile 2.43” x 5.96” x 13.82” chassis.
Features include full electronic protection and input/output filtering to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum. It is designed to meet international safety approvals including EN60950 and related UL and CSA standards.
The BAP319F is suitable for operation in industrial and other heavy-duty applications. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. Other options include a Form C output fail alarm and remote shutdown.

POL 400 data-sheet |
400W, Rugged, Conduction Cooled AC/DC Power Supply Operates in Heavy-duty Environments
The POL 400 is a recent addition to Absopulse Electronics’ POL series of field-proven, conduction cooled AC/DC power supplies. This high-density unit provides a complete 400W power solution in a compact 1.9” x 4.5” x 9.13” enclosure and weighs 2.2kg.
Full encapsulation with a thermally conductive MIL-spec silicon rubber compound ensures immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. Base plate conduction cooling allows for operation to full specification in a -40oC to +70oC cold-plate temperature range. EMI performance meets the requirements for EN55022 Class B. These features contribute to making the POL 400 suitable for EMI sensitive, harsh-environment applications.
This rugged power supply delivers 12Vdc/33A, 24dc/17A, 36Vdc/12A or 48Vdc/9A. It operates from a switch selectable AC-power source of 115/230Vac at 47Hz to 440Hz or a DC-input range of 250Vdc to 370Vdc.
The POL 400 is designed to meet EN 60950 and related standards. The unit features inrush current limiting and surge protection on the input. Output protection includes current limiting with short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown with automatic recovery in case of continuous overload. Combined line and load regulation are ±1% from no load to full load. Efficiency is a minimum of 80%.

PSI 1000 data-sheet
|
Low-profile, conduction cooled inverter delivers 1000VA sine wave voltage in harsh environments
Absopulse Electronics’ PSI 1000 series inverter delivers 1000VA sinusoidal voltage at 50Hz, 60Hz or 400Hz for driving AC equipment in industrial, railway, marine, mining, utility and aviation ground support applications.
The PSI 1000’s internal modules are fully encapsulated within a thermally conductive MIL-spec. silicon rubber compound to ensure immunity to shock, vibration, moisture, humidity, salt and fog. It is conduction cooled via a base plate and rated for operation from 0ºC to 50ºC, with extended temperature ranges available upon request. The unit is housed in a low-profile 19” x 14” x 3” chassis-mount enclosure.
This solid state inverter incorporates microprocessor controlled high frequency PWM technology to synthesize sinusoidal outputs of 115Vrms or 230Vrms and accepts a nominal input of 24V, 36V, 48V, 125V or 250VDC (+20%/-15%). Line regulation is within 0.5 percent and load regulation is within ±2 percent from no load to full load. Efficiency is at least 78 percent at full load. Total harmonic distortion is less than 5%.
The PSI 1000 is filtered to meet the requirements for EN55022 Class A as a minimum. It is designed to meet international safety approvals including C22.2 No. 107.1- 01, UL 458 and EN60950. Protection includes current limiting, short circuit protection and thermal shut-down with automatic recovery in case of continuous overload. An optional output fail alarm (form C) and remote inhibit are available.
