Rugged, Three-Phase Inverter delivers
1.5kVA in Harsh Environments
Absopulse Electronics’ CTP1500-R series DC-AC inverter delivers 1500VA three-phase sinusoidal voltage at 50Hz, 60Hz or 400Hz. It is ruggedized and conformal coated to ensure immunity to shock, vibration and humidity, and is suitable for industrial, utility, telecom and marine environments, as well as for aviation ground support equipment, fuel cell, solar cell and wind power conversion systems.
This solid state inverter incorporates microprocessor controlled high frequency PWM technology to synthesize sinusoidal outputs of 208Vrms, 380Vrms or 415Vrms (phase-to-phase) from 24V, 28V, 48V, 125V or 250VDC inputs. Total harmonic distortion at full load is less than 5%. The floating outputs are isolated from each other and can be connected in a ‘Y’ configuration or left as three individual outputs. In ‘Y’ configuration, the centre point (neutral) can be grounded.
The CTP1500-R is filtered to meet the requirements for EN55022 Class B (typically) in versions where the input current is less than 70A. The unit is designed to meet international safety approvals including C22.2 No.107.1-01, UL458 and EN60950. Protection includes current limiting, short circuit protection, thermal shut-down with automatic recovery in case of insufficient airflow and a hiccup at overload of 600VA in each phase.
The CTP1500-R is fan-cooled and rated for operation over 0°C to 50°C, with an optional -40°C to +65°C temperature range (with de-rating above 50°C), available. A remote shut-down option is also available. This inverter is housed in a 3Ux19”x15” enclosed chassis.
Absopulse offers an extensive range of other single and three-phase sine-wave inverters from 30VA to well over 12kVA .

HVI 109-WR-XT data-sheet
|
High dc input voltage converter (400Vdc to 800Vdc input range) operates in 40ºC to +50ºC environments
Absopulse Electronics’ HVI 109-WR-TX converter was designed for use in harsh environments where a wide operating temperature range of 40ºC to +50ºC and a wide input voltage range of 400Vdc to 800Vdc are required. This rugged unit is ideally suited to railway, heavy industrial as well as other applications in adverse environments.
The HVI 109-WR-TX design employs field-proven, double-conversion topology to generate 24Vdc continuous voltage at 4A. It has non-destructive reverse polarity protection on the input, surge protection and high-grade input/output filtering to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum. The unit is designed to meet international safety approvals including IEC950, CSA22.2.950 and UL1950. (UL850). It is conduction cooled and the chassis measures 4.4” x 2.2” x 10”.
This converter can be fully encapsulated to ensure immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, dust and insects. Optional redundancy diodes would allow for parallel-connection for higher output power or N+1 redundancy, or make it suitable for battery charging applications.
Absopulse’s HVI (high voltage input) Series incorporates an extensive range of high voltage input converters with output power ranging from 50W to over 3000W.

Rugged, Low Profile, PFC input Power Supply delivers 800W at 110Vdc
Absopulse Electronics’ PFL800-110 is a recent addition to its line of rugged, 1U, rack-mount power factor corrected power supplies. This 800W unit is intended for industrial and other heavy duty applications requiring 110Vdc.
The PFL800-110 employs half-bridge topology after the PFC input stage to deliver 110Vdc at 7.27A, and accepts inputs from 95V to 264Vac (47…64Hz). A battery float voltage of 127Vdc is available for battery charging applications. Higher output power or N+1 redundancy can be achieved with two or more stacked units.
The unit meets EN61000-3-2 requirements for low input harmonic distortion mandated for European markets. The power factor is corrected to a minimum of .97 at full load over the entire input range. It is highly filtered on the input and output to meet EN55022 Class B specifications for EMI.
Safety features include AC inrush current limiting, as well as output overload and over-voltage protection. The output is well regulated, with low ripple and noise. The unit is fan-cooled and rated for operation over 0°C to 50°C.
Output voltage and current are simultaneously displayed via optional digital meters on the front-panel. Other options include 400Hz input frequency and extended temperature ranges. Rack-mount versions with 400W and 600W output power, as well as a 200W unit in a 3.85” x 1.25” x 11” enclosure, are also available.
